Geoman Ltd. was appointed to complete a peat slide risk assessment for submission to the local planning authority.

The intrusive site investigation and assessment was conducted within the framework of the Scottish Executive Best Practice Guide. Such assessments are a process of risk management, with high impact risks to be remediated and low risks to be managed appropriately.

The risk of a failure can generally never be fully eliminated, and the task is to achieve a balance between the requirements of the client, contractor, and planning and environmental authorities.
